Air pollution is the biggest environmental risk to health
At the COP26 summit in November, the World Health Organisation announced that the biggest environmental risk to health is air pollution. In England alone, air pollution is responsible for up to 36,000 deaths each year.
With people spending the majority of their lives indoors – both in residential and commercial settings – clean air is vitally important. There are many ways in which buildings can cause air pollution, including mould, dust, damp, emissions from HVAC and other machines, and the materials used for floor and wall coverings, to name but a few. Of course, air pollution can also be caused by people, both by spreading respiratory illness and by breathing out carbon dioxide.
Air quality needs to be carefully managed by building operators – not only for good health, but to ensure that the building in question runs efficiently too. Talk to us to find out how our products can help resolve air quality issues.
